Terms of Service

These Terms of Service govern access to and use of the LegacyLint service.

1. Service

LegacyLint provides software analysis and related dashboard/API capabilities for customer-managed code and project metadata.

2. Accounts and Access

• Customers are responsible for account credentials and access controls.
• Admin users must maintain secure authentication practices, including MFA where required.
• Customers must ensure authorized use only.

3. Acceptable Use

Customers may not:

• Use the service for unlawful activity.
• Attempt unauthorized access, disruption, or abuse of the platform.
• Upload malicious content or content they do not have rights to process.

4. Customer Data

• Customer retains ownership of its data.
• Customer grants LegacyLint the rights necessary to host, process, and secure data to provide the service.
• Data handling is subject to the Privacy Policy and any executed Data Processing Addendum.

5. Fees and Billing

• Paid features are billed according to the selected plan.
• Taxes may apply unless otherwise stated.
• Failure to pay may result in plan downgrade, suspension, or termination.

6. Security and Availability

• LegacyLint applies reasonable technical and organizational measures.
• Service availability targets are operational goals and not absolute guarantees unless explicitly contracted.

7. Suspension and Termination

• LegacyLint may suspend access for security, legal, or abuse reasons.
• Customers may request account deletion through available workflows.
• On termination, data handling follows deletion/retention policy and contractual commitments.

8. Warranties and Disclaimers

• Service is provided on an "as is" and "as available" basis except as required by law or explicit contract.

9. Limitation of Liability

• To the maximum extent permitted by law, LegacyLint’s liability is limited to direct damages up to the fees paid in the applicable period, excluding liabilities that cannot be limited by law.

10. Governing Law

• Governing law and venue are defined in the applicable order form or master agreement.
